Leather purses need TLC just like any other expensive accessory. There are different protective leather sprays in the market so be sure to use the one specific for your type of leather. Test it in an inconspicuous area first before applying it to the rest of the bag. Tip: Place your cosmetics in a pouch or a pencil case and make sure you cap your pens and makeup firmly to avoid spillage. Never put products with turpentine, alcohol or other mineral spirits in your purse because they will discolor leather. And if your bag gets soaked in the rain, don't use a hair dryer. Simply absorb the water with a thick microfiber hand towel, then leave it hanging to air dry. Condition it after it dries.
